About the Role

As a Senior Systems Architect Consultant, you will be the technical leader on key projects, responsible for defining system architecture and ensuring that the designs meet client requirements and business objectives. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance on system architecture, optimization, and integration. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of the solutions we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Design: Lead the design and development of complex systems for industrial applications, ensuring that the architecture meets performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to gather requirements and provide strategic consultation on system design, integration, and optimization.
• Solution Leadership: Oversee the implementation of system architectures, ensuring that solutions are aligned with client needs and UpGradelle’s technical capabilities.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other engineering teams, including R&D, software development, and data science, to ensure seamless integration and execution of systems.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring that UpGradelle’s systems architecture strategies remain cutting-edge.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help elevate the team.
• Technical Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of system designs and progress.

Key Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, with a focus on industrial systems, IoT, and AI-driven solutions.
• Extensive experience with modeling, simulation, and design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, or similar platforms.
• Strong expertise in real-time systems, digital twin technologies, and predictive maintenance solutions.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale system architecture projects and managing complex technical solutions.
• Experience with client-facing roles and providing technical consultation on architecture and design.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); French proficiency is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive innovation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers.
