About the Role
We are looking for a driven and experienced Field Sales Representative to join our team and lead the sales efforts for UpGradelle’s deeptech and startup accelerator program. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the startup ecosystem, identifying, qualifying, and selling our accelerator program to top-tier entrepreneurs and startups.
You will play a key role in expanding the accelerator’s portfolio, helping entrepreneurs gain access to the funding, mentorship, and resources they need to scale their businesses. If you have a passion for innovation and a strong sales background, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the startup ecosystem, specifically targeting deeptech startups in Europe.
- Client Qualification & Needs Analysis: Assess the needs of potential founders and entrepreneurs, helping them understand how UpGradelle’s accelerator program can best support their growth.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive field sales strategy to attract startups to join the accelerator, including outreach, relationship-building, and follow-up communications.
- Proposals & Presentations: Create tailored proposals and deliver impactful presentations to prospective startups, highlighting the value and benefits of joining the accelerator program.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem, including venture capitalists, angel investors, government entities, and startup mentors.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends and the startup ecosystem to ensure that our accelerator program remains competitive and attractive.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including program managers and mentors, to ensure the sales strategy aligns with the overall program goals.
- Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking: Track sales activities, key performance metrics, and report progress to senior leadership.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or project management within the startup or deeptech sector.
- Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, venture capital, and the challenges faced by early-stage companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully attract startups, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Proficiency in both English and French is preferred.
- A deep passion for innovation and helping startups scale.
