About the Role

As an R&D Engineer in Automation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems that drive efficiency and performance across multiple sectors. Your role will involve solving complex engineering challenges using advanced automation technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions that improve both processes and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation System Design & Development: Develop automation solutions to optimize processes, improve system performance, and enhance productivity.
  • Control Systems Engineering: Design and implement control systems and software for automated machinery and systems.
  • Research & Experimentation: Work on new automation technologies and methodologies, researching and testing new approaches to improve systems.
  • Integration & Testing: Ensure seamless integration of automation solutions into existing systems, and conduct rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to design automation solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Prototyping & Validation: Develop prototypes and validate automation systems, ensuring they meet performance specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Provide detailed documentation of automation systems, research findings, and development progress, and report to senior leadership on project status.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automation engineering, with expertise in the design and implementation of control systems, robotics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with automation tools and systems such as PLC, SCADA, or industrial robotics.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both French and English.
  • Work permit in France is mandatory.
