UpGradelle CS is expanding its presence in Japan and is looking to strengthen its team by hiring a Senior PLM Architect based in Atsugi. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects that involve leading-edge PLM technologies in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
About the Role
As a Senior PLM Architect, you will play a key role in leading the architecture, design, and implementation of PLM systems for our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product lifecycle management systems meet client requirements and are optimized for performance, scalability, and integration with other enterprise systems. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to engage with clients at all levels, from gathering requirements to ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- PLM Architecture Design & Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of PLM systems, ensuring they meet client needs, enhance product development processes, and integrate with other enterprise systems.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their PLM requirements, and design tailored solutions that optimize product lifecycle management and improve efficiency across teams.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, IT, and business analysts, to ensure that PLM systems are successfully deployed and integrated.
- Solution Optimization: Continuously assess the effectiveness of existing PLM systems and propose enhancements to improve system performance, user experience, and data flow.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT leaders, project managers, and business executives, ensuring successful alignment of PLM solutions with business goals.
- Strategic Roadmap Development: Develop long-term strategies for PLM system implementation and optimization, in line with business objectives and emerging industry trends.
- Market & Industry Insights: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in PLM technologies and best practices to ensure that solutions remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing PLM systems, preferably in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing.
- Expertise in PLM tools such as PTC Windchill, Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, or Siemens Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle processes, data management, and enterprise systems integration.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English is mandatory.
- Work permit in Japan is mandatory.
