About the Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and deployment of complex systems across a wide range of industrial applications. You will be responsible for driving the architecture and implementation of digital twin solutions and AI-driven analytics, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technologies that optimize industrial processes. You will also be instrumental in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the strategic direction of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Architecture & Design: Lead the design, modeling, and architecture of complex systems for industrial applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Real-Time Systems Engineering: Work on the development and optimization of real-time monitoring systems, predictive maintenance, and digital twin technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering teams, including R&D, software development, and data science, to ensure system integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to implementation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems within budget and on schedule.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements, applying this knowledge to enhance UpGradelle’s systems engineering capabilities.
  • Technical Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and progress reports, and present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Key Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on industrial systems, automation, and digital twin technologies.
  • Strong expertise in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, or similar platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of real-time monitoring systems, predictive analytics, and AI-driven solutions for industrial applications.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams, managing projects, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and design systems that meet complex industrial requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); French proficiency is preferred.
