4IR & Digitalization

4IR is used as a shortened version of Industry 4.0 in reference to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.  It refers to the ongoing global transformation of traditional industries and societal structures through the integration of digital technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other emerging technologies. It represents a paradigm shift in the way we live, work, and interact, blurring the lines between physical, digital, and biological domains.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) brings about numerous opportunities for innovation, growth, and efficiency, but it also presented several challenges that industry leaders must address to navigate this transformative era successfully.

WHAT WE DO

Our 4IR digital transformation approach is based upon our intensive know-how of Agile Enterprise Architecture, systems engineering, complexity management and business process engineering disciplines ensuring a safe global enterprise optimization.

The Design of the solutions

Business-Process-Product-People In-depth analysis

We start with an in-depth technical audit of your operational model (including all processes involved in the scope of intervention).

We model & simulate the “AS-IS” screenshot of your actual core SCM-MoM-PLM processes and their associated interfaces with your organization’s support functions, organizational structure, and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, regulators, etc.).

Each process is then mapped according to the client’s context using a scientific approach. This step is crucial to gain a clear overview of how the process works, to identify the associated bottlenecks, where they are located and what their causes are, which processes should be standardised and why, and how we can improve efficiency and effectiveness using a data mining approach to understand the operational metadata streams, patterns, usages and trends.

IT & Orgnizational Structure

Once the design and optimization of the business operating model assessment has been validated, we begin to examine your company’s IT capabilities (software and hardware solutions, usage, cybersecurity levels, ERP platform configurations, application integrations, usage of advanced technologies such as RPA, IoT, etc.).

At this stage, we also audit your workload capabilities (team efficiency, organizational structure, management model and practices for projects and teams, etc.).

The assessment steps are mandatory for us. It allows our experts to make sure we haven’t missed any important details and that our solutions are not redundant or threatening to your company’s day-to-day operations.

At this stage, we have gathered enough data and knowledge of your current “as-is” status that we formulate and present to you and your team for convergence.

Once this is done, we proceed with our design of the appropriate operational, data, IT and organizational solutions that form what we call the “Enterprise-Industry Architecture” for your business.

The designed solutions, called “To Be”, are presented to you and your team for convergence.

Each solution is supported by its associated technical requirements for each level (functional, data, IT and orga) and their associated implementation roadmaps.

Our risk protocols are provided to our clients upon request.

Our approach is human-centered and based on our belief that no transformation will ever be successful if it is not supported by the internal teams.

Our deliverables also include the appropriate change management strategy that we design based on the data we have collected and how we have had the opportunity to get to know your organizational structure, behavioral patterns, resistance to change, level of digital literacy of your teams, etc.

From selecting the right vendors to detailing the technical specifications, defining the V&V protocols/scenarios, and managing the implementation roadmaps, we make sure that what you pay for is on track with the solutions you validated in Phase 1.

Our goal is to help you gain control and mastery of your business transformation, so we’ve developed a whole aspect of our services where we train and coach your teams during the implementation phase to become more independent and lead the transformation journey themselves. That’s our official handover.
